BLINDMAN

Song: Blindman

Artist: Whitesnake

This song is part of the Whitesnake's album called Ready an' Willing.

It was the mid eighties when I got this, my first hard rock record. In a time when the internet was still to be part of our lives, the choice of a determined book or album was sometimes a matter of luck because of the lack of references or information. Perhaps I had just seen a guy wearing a T-shirt of the group and that triggered it all. Who knows!

However it was, that tape would become the reason why I am into hard rock music and that says a lot.

The album is a quite perfect one and within it we can find the song I introduce here. A sort of hidden gem among other most remarkable recordings of the band and I daresay among 70's and 80's hard rock songs.

David Coverdale founder of Whitesnake, composer and singer of the themes is in my opinion, the warmest voice of the genre and this particular song is a beautiful composition full of poetry that progressively grows and achieves climax conveying desperation when the happiness is light but you feel blind.

This song will ever be part of my path and a tune to lean on when in search of some light.

Here's a song for you… Blindman  by Whitesnake
