Despite their short discography, they soon became a cult band of the genre and, what is more, were considered one of the first bands of Death Metal . They were one of the first thrash metal bands I listened to when that style burst out in the 80s. Possessed played at pure speed and were truly representative of what thrash metal means in the end: power, rage, and freedom to create compositions. Far from the restrictions of hard rock and classic heavy metal when it comes to writing music, thrash metal, in my opinion, is jazz-like in terms of not having creative limits in its musical structures.
