For those of you who never have heard before on Yngwie Malmsteen just saying you are about to listen to one of the best heavy metal guitar players ever.

Utterly masterful, this Swedish musician early devoted his life to the six-string instrument and its obsessive practice.

Not only did he show a love for the most iconic 70's rock bands when he was a schoolchild but also he was an avid listener of classic masters like Bach, Beethoven or Paganini.

My today's proposal is hard rock with gothic and baroque nuances. A stream of creativity that bursted into the heavy metal scene with a unique signature.

I have picked this song from his album called Trilogy. A gate to magical medieval worlds and one of the ultimate metal discs which is well worth a whole listening.

Song: Battle To The Last Artist: DARKNESS This month I want to dust off the music of Darkness .  Some may say there are many bands with that name, but for me, there's only one Darkness. For those who are not familiar with the band, they became, in the late 80s, representative of what we could now call the purest old-school German Thrash style .  Their first two albums are cult items which I was lucky enough to have in my hands. Their records feature underground-drawn artwork that matches their vision of a world in chaos.  What I like most about this band is their raw sound. Listening to their albums is like being at a live concert.
