Here we are to celebrate the new year with Blind Guardian, one of the most successful German bands in Heavy Metal.

And we do it with two songs in a row from one of their best albums.

On other occasions, I have set an intro and its following theme. This time, the first song is not an intro. It is a standalone entity but creates the perfect atmosphere for the subsequent one.

Thus, as the first theme is a delicate and bucolic melody, the latter is a power metal track that rolls out all the band's strength. And they do it with complex musical structures and choruses, as is usual with Blind Guardian.

The whole album is a masterpiece inspired by well-known fantasy books.

Ozzy Osbourne will always be part of the history of Heavy Metal as one of the major names in the genre. And I'm not going to speak about him beyond his records and musical performance.
