Nu metal (or also called Nü-metal) is said to be one of the key branches of the new wave of American heavy metal. Among the main bands of this genre we may find Deftons. 

This music style avoids guitar solos while intensifies their guitar riffs and toys with other elements such as rap and electronic. The result is a much more urban musical expression inside the rock universe.
 
Deftones join together all those features and makes their personal approach in the finest way grace to the creativeness of his singer and leader, Chino Moreno. 

The song I bring with this post belongs to their third album, called White Pony. In my opinion the best work of the band and the one with which their true personality and creativity hatched. Sophistication and obscurity brought on by the impeccable voice of Chino Moreno who creates ectasy based on dissonance. This is what this song is: Change (In the House of Flies).

BATTLE TO THE LAST

Song: Battle To The Last Artist: DARKNESS This month I want to dust off the music of Darkness .  Some may say there are many bands with that name, but for me, there's only one Darkness. For those who are not familiar with the band, they became, in the late 80s, representative of what we could now call the purest old-school German Thrash style .  Their first two albums are cult items which I was lucky enough to have in my hands. Their records feature underground-drawn artwork that matches their vision of a world in chaos.  What I like most about this band is their raw sound. Listening to their albums is like being at a live concert.
