With this post I want to pay homage to one of the most talented musicians arisen from Ireland.

Gary Moore music underwent many changes throughout his carreer. His love for the electric guitar led him to perform several genres, starting with hard rock and heavy metal in the late 70's and 80's he went on to play blues with a personal approach as a way to pay tribute to his adored bluesmen. 

Even among his first songs where war and fight is commonplace we may find his like for blues as the germ of his future evolution. 

Likewise, Northern Ireland dour life influenced his lyrics but on the other hand his beloved land inspired jewels like Wild Frontier album, the one with whom Moore's music got into my life when I was only a fifteen-year-old youngster hypnotised by his guitar. 

Irelandwise, Wild Frontier album well will be worth another only post itself.

The song I want you to listen today is from his fourth studio album Corridors of Power. A rousing theme about harmful lovers when we have no option but to make the same mistake again. A song to bring your parties to the next level.

Song: Battle To The Last Artist: DARKNESS This month I want to dust off the music of Darkness .  Some may say there are many bands with that name, but for me, there's only one Darkness. For those who are not familiar with the band, they became, in the late 80s, representative of what we could now call the purest old-school German Thrash style .  Their first two albums are cult items which I was lucky enough to have in my hands. Their records feature underground-drawn artwork that matches their vision of a world in chaos.  What I like most about this band is their raw sound. Listening to their albums is like being at a live concert. Ozzy Osbourne will always be part of the history of Heavy Metal as one of the major names in the genre. And I'm not going to speak about him beyond his records and musical performance. I am not interested in the celebrity. There are enough people adoring his life off stage, and this is a blog about music. So, no more tickets for the circus. I remember, as a teenager back in the early eighties, when I first listened to the album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath , knowing little about him and his band, Black Sabbath .
