Song: Man In The Box Artist: ALICE IN CHAINS The band I want to showcase with this post is the Seattle's combo Alice In Chains. Despite the fact that they had their peak in the 90's, it was in the beginning of the 21st century that I got captivated by the strength of their music. Sons of their time and as a result of their place of birth, they showed an eminent grunge tendency solidly founded on their heavy metal roots. In my opinion, it is the latter that makes them special. One of their main assets was the powerful voice of his lead singer Layne Staley, whose troubled life is written on their dark lyrics. We Die Young is what they preached in their debut song and thus came Staley's death. Alice In Chains brought that sense of commonplace for underground youth, enraged youngsters living the present.
